Missed-call text-back: after-hours capture that still becomes a contact

The ring is a hand-raise

People still call. When nobody picks up, most businesses leave a voicemail box and call it a process. The caller has already googled the next name. Missed-call text-back is the honest version of “we will get back to you”: a text that acknowledges the ring, offers a calendar or a two-line path, and writes a contact into GoHighLevel with source = missed call.

This sits on Growth as an extra pipe because it needs the number, the workflow, and the habit of treating after-hours as inbound, not as a complaint to handle tomorrow. Core still runs email/SMS nurture for people who already exist. Missed-call is for the ones who tried the oldest channel and got silence.

Do not turn it into a chatbot argument

The first text should be useful and short. It should not interrogate. If you sell a site visit, offer the visit calendar. If you sell a stay, offer dates or a human confirmation window. If a human must speak, say when. Fake-intelligent loops that refuse to connect a person are how you lose the exact caller who had intent.

Stop rules matter here too. If they book from the text, the sequence ends. If they reply “stop,” it ends. If they call back and you answer, the contact should show the thread so you are not asking them to repeat the voicemail.
